Royals claim Sandpoint Little League Majors championship

The Caliber Home Loans Royals defeated the Tork Electric Padres 6-5 in a thrilling Sandpoint Little League Majors championship game on June 10.
The equally matched teams played each other five times this season with four of the games decided by only one run.
In the championship game, the Padres jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and the Royals fought back to tie up the score at 4-4 in the fourth inning.
The Royals took the lead in the fifth inning and closed out the game to capture the title.
