William David 'Bill' Foster, 61

William David “Bill” Foster, 61, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, June 17, 2021, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint with Pastor Fred Toerne officiating. Bill will be laid to rest at the McArthur Cemetery.

Bill was born on March 16, 1960, in Seattle, Washington, to Dick and Betsy Foster. He grew up and attended schools in Seattle, before moving to Sandpoint his freshman year. Bill graduated from Sandpoint High School in the Class of 1978. He then attended North Idaho College and was active in musical theater.

Bill worked for Boeing. He married Theresa Knightley in 1982 in Sandpoint. He lived in Alaska and Naples, Idaho, for a short time before moving to Coeur d’Alene, where he worked for Fred Meyers and Cisco’s Gallery.

Bill was an adventurer and a free spirit. He loved to travel, took an extended trip to Europe and rode camels in Morocco. He also enjoyed spending time in the mountains, sailing, and panning for gold.

He is survived by his father, Dick (Marianne) Foster of Sandpoint; two sisters, Barbara (John) Nicolich of Oracle, Arizona, and Elizabeth (Steve) Neuder of Sandpoint; nephew, John Nicolich; and nieces, Katie Nicolich, and Julia and Camille Neuder. He is also survived by godchildren Ruana and Lenna Lundin.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Betsy Foster; wife, Theresa Foster; and daughter, Jasmine Foster.
