Susan Lee Bowman, 68

Susan Lee Bowman, born Sept. 27, 1952, in San Bernardino, California. Susie passed surrounded by loved ones on Feb. 25, 2021.

Susie spent most of her younger years traveling and exploring the world. She moved to Sandpoint in the early ’90s. Susie had a variety of careers. While living in Sandpoint, she owned Top Dog, which made delicious smoothies and tacos. She worked for World Title as a sales associate. The last of her careers was selling radios to local groups; she was known as the Radio Lady to the local police and fire districts.

Susie helped her sister, Marsha Ogilvie, founder of Kinderhaven, establish a safe place for children in difficult family situations.

Susan is survived by her husband, Mike Bowman; stepdaughters, Jessica and Jennifer Bowman; granddaughters, Isabella, Avani and Etta; and her brother-in-law, Francis Ogilvie. She is preceded in death by her sister, Marsha Ogilvie, and brother Chris Hansen, as well as many beloved friends.

A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Kinderhaven.
