AT VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE SCHOOL
After a leave spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Earl, Sandpoint, Electronic Tech. 2nd Class Larry Earl returned to his base at El Paso, Tex. Earl, who has been in the Navy 6½ years, will attend Vietnamese language school for 35 weeks before going to Vietnam as an advisor.

TWO FROM AREA GET EWSC DEGREES
Two Bonner county men have earned degrees from Eastern Washington State College. Richard J. Hanna, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund S. Hanna, Clark Fork, earned a B.A. in education with a biology major. Earning a B.A. in mathematics is John M. Donovan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Donovan, Hope.

KOOTENAI KLOVER KLUB 4-H NEWS
A meeting of Kootenai Klover Klub will be held Monday in the Kootenai Grange hall. Dues will be $1.10. Beginners’ projects will be forestry, bicycling, dogs, foods and sewing. This year’s officers are Linda Murray, president; Betty Van Rossum, vice president; Jackie Meneely, secretary-treasurer; Peggy Holbert, reporter, and Cindy Lien, sergeant-at-arms.

March 23, 1921 – READY FOR LOG DRIVE
Pack river was on a roaring rampage Friday, having risen two feet Thursday night, and C.W. Beardmore’s “river hogs” were getting ready for the fun of the annual log drive, likely to last a few weeks. The Beardmore camps have a fine lot of logs ready and are pleased with prospects for a successful season.

MAY ORDER TREES AND SHRUBS
The chamber of commerce will take orders for these trees and shrubs: Mountain ash, Norway maple, Japanese purple maple, American white elm, Spirea, Japanese and purple barberry, Oregon grape, Native syringa, 10c to $8.00. The beautification committee recommends native trees and shrubs to beautify your property, but they will order and deliver the above for those who wish.

LOCAL BRIEFS
It is claimed that some unruly pupils in Sagle school were encouraged in their conduct by the parents. When three were expelled a short time ago, they bombarded the schoolhouse with rocks.
Roller skating Thursday and Friday night. Dancing Saturday, at the Liberty.
H.J. Bennett, chef at The Grill, who saw the Ridley-Britt fight at Spokane, has great faith in Ridley’s ability and won some money on him.
