Church hosting ultimate Easter egg hunt

| March 23, 2021 1:00 AM

Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is hosting its second Ultimate 10,000 Easter Egg Hunt.

The hunt will take place Sunday, March 28, at 11 a.m., COR officials said.

"The church has been working hard over the last several weeks to collect and fill more than 10,000 plastic eggs with individually wrapped candies," said Kessin Drews, COR office manager. "The community is invited to come out and join in the fun."

The hunt will feature different categories for youth, ranging from toddler through 12 year olds. It will take place regardless of weather, be it rain, snow, or shine.

Due to the pandemic, Drews said that last the church moved to a “take-home” format and distributed the collected eggs and candy to families in the community so that they could host their own egg hunts in their backyard.

"We're excited to welcome the community back this year for in-person festivities," she said. "The hunt lasted less than three minutes last time, so it is recommended to arrive a few minutes early."

There is no cost to join in the egg hunt, and complimentary refreshments will be available for everyone to enjoy.

The church is located at 1900 Pine Street in Sandpoint, across the street from Litehouse YMCA. For more information, go online to www.corsandpoint.org or call the church office at 208-263-7516.
