Chorale, orchestra rehearsals begin

| March 25, 2021 1:00 AM

The Pend Oreille Chorale and Orchestra, now in their 27th year, is still dedicated to bringing uplifting live classical music to Bonner County.

"We are continuing to go forth with our musical mission despite many obstacles," said orchestra director Mark Reiner.

Orchestra rehearsals will start Sunday, March 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Gardenia Center across from the Sandpoint post office. Chorale rehearsals will begin Monday, March 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist youth classroom at the west end of the building.

Music, and practice CDs, and schedules will be handed out on March 28 for the orchestra. Any experienced strings are encouraged to call 208-290-2644 to have questions answered regarding either chorale or orchestra.

Singers who wish to join the chorale, please come to the first rehearsal where CDs and music will be provided.

"We are not yet back to our normal size, but we are persevering and know that will change" said chorale director Caren Reiner. "This program hopefully will provide much needed audience relaxation and enjoyment performed by musicians from this area."

The Reiners said chorale and orchestra members are looking forward to presenting their free concerts at the Gardenia Center on Friday, June 4, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 6, at 3 p.m.
