Vote to retain Asche, Flint on library board

| May 6, 2021 1:00 AM

Our local library is a huge asset to the community.

It is staffed with friendly, caring people from the director to the volunteers. The library remains a place concerned about the greater needs of the community. It provides a variety of services, programs, and materials. Our library reflects the unique personality of our small town in a big way.

When COVID-19 created shutdowns, the staff stepped up and provided curbside service when its doors had to close during the pandemic — and still provides this service for those uncomfortable going inside. They gladly consider ordering library materials upon request. I pass on my thanks and appreciation for all the library does and provides.

Having worked in several libraries and having been a patron in many more, I can absolutely state with confidence that the East Bonner County Library is one of the best libraries I have experienced.

I have served on the library board and I know its members consider issues that impact the library's functioning with sincere deliberation. The library is not meant to be a place of politics. The library is a place of calm and I urge people to keep the calm and sanity that the present board offers.

Vote for maintaining the wisdom and consistency the library offers by reelecting library board members Jeanine Asche and Amy Flint.
