Pend Oreille Hospital District Board needs Jessie Peters

| May 13, 2021 1:00 AM

There’ve been a flurry of letters to the editor recently touting the “experience” of the hospital district board’s incumbents. But what the letter-writers see as “experience,” others see as maintenance of the status quo, where our tax dollars are collected, and little to no transparency on where they are spent is provided.

Jessie Peters promises advocacy for much-needed transparency. And if it’s “experience” that’s needed, she offers that too. As a practicing family nurse practitioner, Jessie has specialized in rural healthcare, lead healthcare non-profits, and has served on health system boards where she helped oversee budgets. In other words: Jessie Peters has the experience necessary to jump into the role of Hospital District Board Trustee seamlessly.

It’s time to freshen the hospital district board with trustees who will put both the healthcare of Bonner County taxpayers front and center, as well as advocate for fiscal responsibility of the tax dollars we provide.

It’s time to put Jessie Peters on the hospital district board.

Please vote Jessie Peters on May 18.
