Whose definition of morality will be followed?

| May 13, 2021 1:00 AM

Library board members Amy Flint and Jeanine Asche want to serve the community and deserve our vote on May 18.

Their opponent, Jalon Peters, was asked, “How could the library be improved?”.  His answer:  “To have the programs, webinars, classes, etc be ones that support Biblical morality and a love for our country and not those that have agendas that would seek to bring division and corruption to the community, i.e. critical race theory, global warming indoctrination, abortion, BLM, LGBTQ.” (Watchmen Ministry, April 2021)

Morality policing is the last thing we need in Bonner County.

Jalon Peters also believes that climate change is an “agenda that’s being pushed to regulate and control people through Marxism” (Daily Bee, April 28, 2021).

Conspiracy theorists would not make the best leaders for our library.

If you prefer professionalism over morality policing, please join me in voting for Jeanine Asche and Amy Flint for the East Bonner County Library board and Thomas Lawrence and Helen Parsons for the Pend Oreille Hospital board on May 18.
