CIVIC CLUB PREPARES FOR FLOWER SHOW

The Civic club voted last fall to offer a prize of $25 to the school showing the most improvement in grounds, the prize to be awarded Sept. 1, equally divided between the janitor and school. Here is an opportunity for the Boy Scout to do a “good turn,” also the Campfire Girl who is “to seek the beautiful,” can do her bit by adding bright flowers to beautify her own school grounds. We might begin to utilize our school grounds for neighborhood parks, and taking a personal interest in their appearance is one sure way to start their use for this purpose.
