SALES DAY SUCCESS GROWS

Every member of the Chamber’s retail trade bureau reports an unqualified success for their third monthly sales day, which was more largely attended than either of its predecessors. NEW FACTORY WILL START IN 10 DAYS

After an investment of over $80,000, John Bolin’s new match block factory at Lake street and the S.I. right-of-way will be ready to start operations in 10 days. The Bolin automatic block cutter, an invention of the owner, is already in place on the second floor of the building, which was formerly occupied by the old Sandpoint planing mill. In giving Sandpoint this factory, Mr. Bolin is alone in the venture which will replace the factory of the Sommers Brothers Match company lost by fire about April 1. The factory’s output has already been contracted for and will be sold to the Minnesota Match company of Duluth.
