| September 25, 2021 1:00 AM

Shirley Redifer passed away peacefully at age 90 on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in Olympia, Washington, where she resided for the last 15 years.

Shirley married Tom Redifer in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1950 and raised five children with lots of adventures, including many trips clam digging and vacations to Lake Chelan. Once the kids were raised, Shirley loved her work with the Aberdeen School District and helped many more children set their course for life. She also was the needlepoint extraordinaire and enjoyed making Christmas stockings for the grandkids.

Shirley had a wonderful second act with Stanley Roehl where they lived in beautiful Priest Lake, Idaho, and Bullhead City, Arizona. Shirley and Stanley traveled the world together, spending time in Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, all of Europe, and enjoyed every moment of their time together. After Stanley passed, Shirley moved to Olympia, Washington. She will rest next to Stanley in Arizona.
Shirley is survived by her children, Roger Redifer (Janie), Port Ludlow, Janet Bissell, Tacoma and Lisa Fairbairn, Olympia. She is preceded in death by her sons, Thomas Michael Redifer and Ryan Gerald Redifer. She had eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who she loved to keep in touch with. She was aunt to Ed Cote (Casey), Vancouver, Wash., and Carla Zenner, Ocean Shores.

Services are under the care of Funeral Alternatives of Tumwater, Washington.
