William F. 'Bill' Pagano, 82

William F. “Bill” Pagano, 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services have been held.

Bill was born on January 18, 1940, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to William and Dorothy Pagano. He graduated high school in New Brunswick in 1958 where he played multiple sports and was an All-State football player. He attended Fork Union Military Academy on a football scholarship, and the team went undefeated. He then transferred to Arkansas State University, where he played football and received his bachelor degree in physical education.

Bill married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Pagano on June 4, 1960, in New Brunswick. He worked in sales in New York, Denver and in Orange County before moving his family to Sandpoint in 1978. Bill and Marilyn opened Sun Rental Center in Sandpoint and operated it for 42 years. It continues to be operated by their son Billy and Billy’s wife Jenni.

In addition to Bill’s passion for running Sun Rental Center, his favorite hobby was fly fishing where he enjoyed exploring many rivers in Idaho, Washington and Montana.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Pagano of Sandpoint; five children, Kim Pagano Dannettell of Orange County, California, Billy and his wife Jenni Pagano of Sandpoint, Marilyn and her husband Dennis Harvey of Windsor, Colorado, Lynn and her husband Bob Peters of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jill Pagano and Joel Tipke of Seattle, Washington; and eight grandchildren, Nichole and Meghan Pagano, Sarah and Dillon Dannettell, Zoie and Abbie Harvey, Delaney and Kellen Pagano-Carr.
