Two events canned due to weather

| April 16, 2022 1:00 AM

The weather in North Idaho continues to be unforgiving.

Both Sandpoint golf and Clark Fork track had events canceled yesterday.

Firstly, on Thursday morning, The Bulldogs were supposed to travel to Coeur d'Alene to compete at the Coeur d'Alene invitational. Unfortunately, due to the snow in Coeur d'Alene the event was canceled.

Currently, there hasn't been a rescheduled date for the event.

The golf team has felt the effects of the inclement weather extensively throughout the season.

Sandpoint has had its last three events canned. The last time the Bulldogs hit the links was nearly a month ago on March 21 at the Lewiston Invitational.

Its next scheduled event is in three days at the Lake City invitational on Monday, April 18. The event is also going to be hosted in Coeur d'Alene.

The Clark Fork track team only has one meet under its belt, the Bonners Ferry Invite on Saturday, March 26.

It was slated to compete at the Kellogg Invitational today, but the event was canceled.

The reason is also the weather and track conditions.

There has not been a rescheduled date announced for the meet.

The next competition for the Wampus Cats will be on Saturday, April 23, at the Priest River Invite.
