David Sawyer

David Sawyer, died with dignity on April 7, 2022, in his home in Salem, Oregon, two days following his 64th birthday. He was diagnosed with ALS about three years ago.

David served one four-year term on Sandpoint City Council beginning January 1992 followed by a four-year term as mayor beginning January 1996.

After leaving Sandpoint he was the city manager in Lakeview, Oregon, and had held the same position in Turner, Oregon, for about the past 15 years.

Survivors include his wife Manuela and a daughter Sophia. He leaves many friends in Sandpoint.
