POST FALLS — Cole Rueter found himself in a three-way tie for first place at the Links Golf Course in Post Falls.

Rueter, St Maries’ Seth Swallows, and Freeman’s Ryan Russel, all finished 18 holes with a score of 77, resulting in sudden death.

Rueter kept up through the 19th hole, with all three notching pars.

It was the 20th hole where Swallows and Russel separated from Reuter. Both of them parred where Reuter bogeyed, resulting in him placing third.

“It was another good day for (Cole),” Clark Fork golf coach Brian Arthun said. “I think that was a good situation for him to be in right now if (that) comes up in the future.”

Landon Pierson and Jacob Abbott returned to the course for the Wampus Cats. They both struggled putting the ball, which was a common theme, throughout for Clark Fork.

“Now that we’ll be able to get to the Idaho Club, our putting will improve,” Arthun said. “That is something we’ll definitely stress in the coming weeks.”

Clark Fork will next compete at the Circling Raven Golf Club on Monday, April 25.
