Priest River track sweeps at double dual

The Priest River track team participated in its second Intermountain League double dual of the season on Wednesday at Priest River High School.

The first dual took place on April 13 with Priest River taking on Timberlake and Bonners Ferry.

On Wednesday, the Spartans faced off against Kellogg and Coeur d’Alene Charter.

The boys opened up the dual against Kellogg.

Priest River routed Kellogg by a final score of 97-39.

The Spartans ended the day facing off against Coeur d’Alene Charter. Priest River again, came away with a sound victory, defeating the Panthers 105-31.

The girls also came away 2-0 against their IML foes, starting with Kellogg.

Priest River defeated the Wildcats 77-46 and ended the day with an 83-40 victory over Coeur d’Alene Charter.

After the two double duals, the IML league standings are as follows; for the boys. Timberlake is in first place with a 4-0 record.

Bonners Ferry is in second place at 3-1. Priest River is in third at 2-2. Kellogg sits in fourth at 1-3; and Coeur d’Alene Charter is in last with a 0-4 record.

For the girls, Timberlake is in first place at 4-0. Bonners Ferry is in second, at 3-1. Priest River sits in third, at 2-2. Coeur d’Alene Charter ended up fourth at 1-3 and Kellogg is in last at 0-4.

Priest River will be back in action on Friday, April 29 at the Timberlake Invitational.
