SHS dance team wins district grand champions, off to state

RATHDRUM — Sandpoint dance team won the grand championship at the district competition Jan. 29 and will be competing in prop and military team dances at state in February.
“It was quite the day,” said head coach Sara Garrison. “One of the girls left due to sickness before the competition started.”
Despite the challengers, Garrison said the team held their heads high and got to work on revising their dances. They danced amazingly even with the quick changes, she said.
“We are excited for state and ready to work hard to hopefully bring home a state trophy,” Garrison said.
