RUNAWAY TEAM SPILLS MILK CARGO

The team driven by I.L. Ramsey on his milk route ran away Wednesday, starting from First ave. between Main and Cedar, and taking the sleighload of milk cans and bottles south on First and across the long wagon bridge at breakneck speed. They upset the cargo near the Jack Black ranch south of town, shortly after which the team was stopped. Mr. Ramsey set out afoot after the team, returning with them after an hour’s trek over the snow. He says total damage will not exceed $10. The team was scared by the popping of the steam valve on an engine at the N.P. depot.
