Birds, botany and wildflower class set

The community is invited to come along for a day of birding, field botany, and wildflowers this next weekend.

The outing, which begins at 9 a.m. Mountain time, will be held Saturday, June 18. Those interested should meet in the Viking Room of the Venture Inn, 1015 West Ninth St., U.S. 2, in Libby, Montana.

After brief introductions, and an outline of the day, the group will head to several field sites on private land to observe and identify birdlife, trees, shrubs, plants, grasses, sedges, and wildflowers.

Participants should come prepared for the day with full gas tanks, water, lunch, I.D. books, proper clothing and footwear for a field day, binoculars and a good sense of humor. Wrap up approx. 2:30 p.m.
