Are you looking for something new to do next week? The library has you covered.

Join the East Bonner County Library for the first of our Community Conversations events at Evans Brothers Coffee on Tuesday, June 28th at 5:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet members of our community and breathe life into your ideas for how to create the community you want to live in, in a safe and constructive environment.

These events also help shape the library’s strategic planning initiative. Your input helps guide library staff in realizing the vision our entire community has for the future. If you register for the event in advance, we will be able to guarantee a spot for yourself, as well as giving us the opportunity to provide you with free coffee, tea and treats. You can register through the following link: ebonnerlibrary.org/conversation This is the first event in a two-part series, with the second occurring on Thursday, July 7, at 5:30 p.m., also at Evans Brothers.

If you’re looking for some outdoor activities that help exercise your body as well as your brain, the STEM trailer will be stopping by Pine Street Woods on Thursday, June 30, from 3-5 p.m. The library will be partnering with Kaniksu Land Trust to give you the opportunity to become a citizen scientist for an afternoon.

Collect soil and water samples and examine them under the library’s new microscopes. If you’ve brought your library card, you’ll get to borrow one of five new binoculars during the event so you can scout the trails and get a closer look at some of the area’s local wildlife and scenery. Get here early to ensure you’ll get a chance to borrow a pair!

I hope you will be able to join us at all of our upcoming events.
