SANDPOINT MOTOR CO. PROMOTES TWO
Jack Parker, owner of Sandpoint Motor Co., announced two promotions Monday. Arbie Fredstrom, service manager, is promoted to customer relations and Terry Nordeen will become service manager. Fredstrom began with the company as a mechanic in Sept. 1932. Nordeen began working for the firm in high school. After college graduation he spent a year with General Motors Acceptance Corp. in Oakland. He has been back with Sandpoint Motors for nine months.

FLEW TO CALIFORNIA
Mrs. Charles Finney flew to San Francisco March 3 to join her husband who had been working there. They spent nine days visiting friends and relatives in Santa Cruz, Calif., and Phoenix, Ariz., returning home March 12. Mrs. Amelia Finney stayed with her grandchildren in the absence of their parents.

HOME FROM CALIFORNIA
Edwin Finney and son, Kenny, and Scott Finney returned home March 12 from Cotati, Calif., where they had spent three weeks. Mr. Finney had been engaged in carpentering for friends.

March 27, 1922 – NEWS FROM CABINET
The ferryman, J.J. McGraw, now has the old ferry afloat and all the ice out of it, but it is not in very good condition, as it leaks quite badly.
The snow is going fast, but it is still very deep on the flats.

BUNGALOW – PACK RIVER VALLEY NEWS
Rainfall is more prevalent these days than snow. The beginning of spring was heralded by rain, even if snow did cover the ground.
The Pack River Telephone company held its regular meeting Monday night.

CULVER-ODEN NEWS
The Penochle (sic) society met at the home of Matt Schmidt Saturday evening with twelve present.
The Sandpoint Lumber & Pole co. Saturday hauled two large loads of poles to Sandpoint on sleds. It took lots of horse power to get through the mud and snows.
George F. Fitzpatrick arrived home from Moscow Friday evening. He finished the three years’ course in agriculture and received the famous U of I sheepskin.

NORTHERN PACIFIC VACATING PARK SITE
T.L. Gibson, local N.P. station agent, told the chamber of commerce directors that the railroad has served written notice on all lease holders using railroad ground between the dock and the bridge, east of the right-of-way, to vacate the property, preparatory to granting the city the ground for a municipal park.
