| May 3, 2022 1:00 AM

Kathleen Ann Ousley, 72, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at her home in Sandpoint, Idaho.

A celebration of her life will be held on June 18, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Lakeview Park in Sandpoint.

Kathy was born on October 14, 1949, in Aberdeen, Washington, to Robert and Pat Woods. She went by the nickname “Tassy” as a child because Kathleen was just too hard to say. As a child she attended Hope Elementary School in Idaho before moving on to Holy Names Academy in Spokane, Washington, graduating in 1969.

In 1970, Kathy married Curtis Reed of Sandpoint and they raised three daughters. They later divorced in 1982.

In 1992, she married Ray Ousley in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They recently celebrated 30 years of marriage. Kathy worked for many years at Panhandler Pies and loved reminding everyone to make sure they got their free birthday meal whenever she could. Later in life her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Not a minute went by that she wasn’t telling someone of their accomplishments. She was so proud of them.

Kathy enjoyed crafts, needlework, artwork and her two cats, Tassy and Silver.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Ousley of Sandpoint; three daughters, Heidi (Tony) Evans of Selah, Washington, Heather (Matt) Sallie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Amanda Reed of Rochester, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan, Samantha, Daila, Colton, Curtis, Cooper, and Robert; sister, Rhonda Welch of Kent, Washington; and friend, Pat Amstutz of Sandpoint.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leslie, and sister Brenda.

Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint is handling the arrangements. Please visit Kathy’s online memorial at www.lakeviewfuneral.com and sign her guest book.
