Weight limits lifted from more county roads

SANDPOINT — Weight restrictions have been lifted from a few more of the county's roads, Bonner County Road & Bridge officials said Monday.

District 1 – South of the Long Bridge

The following roads are still posted with weight limits; Eichs Road, Willford Road, Churchill Road and Gold Mountain Drive.

The following roads are still posted as “no hauling:" Schneiders, Whitetail Trail, Comeback Bay, E Comeback Bay, Birch Banks, Hanford Drive, Birch Haven, Sweeney Drive, Hanley Lane and Bella Circle.

Weight limits have been lifted from all other roads.

District 2 – Priest River/Priest Lake

Kalispell Creek and Reeder Creek roads are still posted on the west side of Priest Lake and all roads north of Dickensheet on the east side also are still posted

Weight limits have been lifted from all other roads.

District 3 – Sandpoint / Clark Fork

Trestle Creek Road is still posted with weight limits.

The following roads are still posted as “no hauling:" Rapid Lightning from Upper Gold Creek going northeast and Upper Gold Creek from Meadowood going east.

Weight limits have been lifted from all other roads.

“No hauling” indicates no commercial vehicles allowed

As a reminder, a red flag or no flag on the sign indicates weight limits are in effect.

Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
