Bullpups claims district volleyball title

Sandpoint Middle School's eighth grade B team won the district title on Oct. 20, defeating Lakeland in the championship game. Coach Valerie Johansen said the team made a commitment at the start of their season to serve their community and, at every away game whether they won or not, the team picked up trash in the host team's stand. "From day one this group was special [because of] their willingness to always encourage each other, work hard and give it their all 100% of the time," Johansen said.
