| September 3, 2022 1:00 AM

101 Women Sandpoint’s Fall Grant Cycle is currently accepting applications for their bi-annual $10,000 grant award. Bonner County nonprofits who provide services in the areas of education, arts, recreation, or the environment may apply online for the grant.

The deadline for submission of the grant is Oct. 1.

Three applicants will be chosen from those that apply. These top three applicants will present their organization’s project and need for funding at the 101 Women’s fall membership meeting on Nov. 10.

101 Women Sandpoint is a nonprofit funding organization that awards two $10,000 grants per year to nonprofit organizations that are located and operate in Bonner County.

At the spring membership meeting, Panhandle Special Needs took home the $10,000 award. PSNI will use the grant funds to improve the services they provide to local individuals with disabilities through upgrades in their technology and to their greenhouse, where they provide work training.

Since their formation 5 1/2 years ago, 101 Women Sandpoint have presented 12 area nonprofits with grants totaling $120,000. Winners have included, Bonner Partners in Care, Sandpoint Area Seniors, Food for Our Children, Book Trust, Community Cancer Services, CASA, North Idaho Aerospace, Community Resource Envision Center, Music Conservatory of Sandpoint, Priest River Ministries and UCAN and Panhandle Special Needs.
