Input sought on judicial post candidates

SANDPOINT — The Idaho Judicial Council is seeking the public’s input to help select the next First Judicial District judge.

The council is circulating a questionnaire to the bar and the public and can be found at judicialcouncil.idaho.gov/vacant.htm.

The five candidates being considered are Monte C. Gray, Tera A. Harden, Susie D. Jensen, Ross D. Pittman and Daniel L. Rodriguez.

Gray is the assistant general counsel for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes in Pocatello. Harden is a First Judicial District magistrate judge in Sandpoint. Jensen is the chief public defender for Bonner County. Pittman is a First Judicial District magistrate judge in Coeur d’Alene. Rodriguez is the chief deputy prosecuting attorney for Bonner County.

All comments must be received by the council at their office by Sept. 14. They plan to begin interviewing candidates in Sandpoint on Oct. 13, 2022. The salary is $144,400.
