Trustees need to back parents, not non-residents

After attending a few West Bonner County School District meetings, I am of the impression that the trustees put more value in the opinions of what a few people who have no students in our district and a number of people not in our school district share, than what parents, community members and staff share with them.

Shouldn’t non-residents not in the West Bonner School District go to their own school board meeting and express their concern. We are very capable of taking care of our school district concerns.

The people of West Bonner County School District need to get involved and voice our concerns. The trustees need to only hear from us and not people from other school districts.

Our trustees need to go into our classrooms and see for themselves what is going on. First-hand knowledge is the best knowledge! Please parent and community members get involved.

By the way, Idaho has 118 school districts not 74. Please, trustees, be informed.
