SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint boys cross country team was ranked seventh in the state in a 4A pre-season poll by Running Idaho, a media page dedicated to Idaho high school track and field and cross country.

The Bulldogs finished in 10th place last year out of the 26 teams that qualified for the 4A state championship. Dan Ricks and Nathan Roche will lead the team this year; the two both hold top 10 all-time 5k times in SHS history. This year's poll has Sandpoint finishing above schools such as Pocatello, Skyview and Jerome and just behind Twin Falls and Preston. The team will look to continue their winning ways under new head coach Mike Ehredt.
