Library having fun at the fair

Howdy, y’all! It’s that season again. What season, you might ask? Bonner County Fair Season! Come make new me-moooooo-ries and stop by the East Bonner County Library booth at the fair anytime between Wednesday and Saturday.

The library booth will have lots of great incentives to visit, including freebies to take home, information on upcoming programs, and your favorite library staff and volunteers eager to engage.

We’ll also have information on our new Library of Things, including some printouts of items you’ll be able to check out from your local library branch! Did you know that we now carry telescopes and frisbee golf sets? You can check these out and take them home, or to the park, or anywhere else you’d like to bring them — so long as they come back by the due date.

I was hanging out at the booth on Wednesday afternoon to show anyone who stopped by how to make an origami bookmark. These bookmarks are great for the spine of your book, since you can tuck them right onto the corner of a page — and since they’re made of paper, they won’t harm the book. The foundation of this bookmark is also essential for the creation of other origami creations, including a butterfly.
