With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Loretta “Lori” Jasper, who passed away peacefully Feb. 4, 2023, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Loretta was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, in January 1941, to Earl and Rita Todd. In high school, she entered and won the Miss Dairy Queen of Canada pageant. She had a natural gift for the arts, and could play the piano by ear. She was funny, sincere and thoughtful. In her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlepoint and painting. She loved being in the kitchen with Rita and her Aunt Irene and loved to cook.

Loretta was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Rita Todd; her in-laws, Pat and Opal Jasper; her daughter, Yolanda Marie Flesher; two nephews, Stacey Hirsch and Jeffrey Hirsch; and a sister-in-law, LaRita Davis. She grew up with one sister, Michelle (Charles) Hirsch; and two brothers, Larry (Irene) Todd and Mickey (Sharon) Todd.

She was married to Andrew Jasper (divorced) and her present companion, Ned Thompson. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lori Ann (Jerry) Barnes; as well as her adoring grandchildren, Andrew (Heather) Barnes, Jerry (Heather) Barnes, Norcutt (Shannon) Flesher and Adam (Achea) Flesher; and six great-grandchildren, Norcutt Flesher, Jonathan Barnes, Chloe Barnes, Christopher Barnes, Jesse Barnes and Richard Barnes; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
