Amari Printz-Hay led the way with 16 points for the Wampus Cats to help take the win 58-24 over Mullan and claim the district championship.

“Lots of good things happened,” head coach Jordan Adams said.

The Wampus Cats came out firing with two 3s from Lilly Reuter and another from Eloise Shelton.

“We had some great three-point plays,” Adams said. “Eloise and Lilly on the defensive end also did fabulous.”

Clark Fork was up 20-4 at the end of the first quarter.

Printz-Hay added six points for the Wampus Cats and played big under the basket.

“Amari was a rebounding machine,” Adams said.

The Wampus Cats kept their lead 35-13 heading into halftime.

Hannah Thompson had four points in the third quarter and proved to be a key all-around player for Clark Fork.

“Hannah came out with some steels, lay-ins, and assists,” Adams said.

Emily Myers helped out under the basket with a put-back.

Clark Fork stayed ahead 46-20 heading into the final quarter.

The Wampus Cats finished out the final eight minutes strong with 12 points coming from Shelton, Reuter, Printz-Hay and Thompson.

With a secure lead, the clock ran down and the final score was determined.

"Super pumped that we ended with a running clock at the end," Adams said. "That was our goal.”

The Wampus Cats were ecstatic over a well-fought team win.

“Even our first off-the-bench post, Jamie Herrick, made four free-throws and played great,” Adams said. “Piper, our first off-the-bench guard, had a lot of good passes.”

"Everybody got to play, it was phenomenal,” Adams said.

Clark Fork will head to the state championship tournament.
