Poi Rogers sets area concert

Poi Rogers will be appearing in concert at 7 p.m. Aug. 3 at Create Arts Center in Newport.

Original and vintage country and western swing music will be featured. 

Performing will be Carolyn Sills on standup bass and Gerard Egan on his 1954 triple neck Fender guitar.

“Sills' songs, written and produced with Gerard Egan, are an homage to jukebox Americana — tasty twang reminiscent of Merle Travis and Patsy Cline." — Monterey County NOW.
