Dover cleanup day a success

DOVER — A group of community volunteers braved the hot sun to participate in Dover's city-wide park clean-up event on May 20.

Residents and community members gathered with their neighbors and gloved up to clean, plant and weed, making the Arbor Day event a complete success, Dover officials said.

Mayor George Eskridge and council members rolled up their sleeves and joined Dover residents and volunteers to serve the community they live in.

Eskridge had signed a proclamation designating May 20 as Arbor Day for the city of Dover. Grant funds awarded were used to plant trees in the city park.

Dover officials thanked Bonner County Solid Waste, Flower Farm, Idagon, Ponderay Garden Center, Quoin Construction, Waste Management and Dover residents for their help on the project.
