Priest River, Clark Fork compete at St. Maries Invitational

ST. MARIES — Both the Priest River and Clark Fork golf teams traveled to Benewah County to compete in the St. Maries Golf Invitational on Monday, May 1 at the St. Maries Golf Club.

Priest River’s Luke Butler, finished just two over par with a score of 72. Butler finished in second place behind Seth Swallows of St. Maries, who shot a 71.

Hayden Stockton finished tied for fourth overall for the Spartans with a total of 79 strokes. Overall, the Priest River boys finished fourth out of six total teams with a team score of 356.

For Clark Fork, it was Solomon Holder who led the Wampus Cats with a score of 111. Behind him was Tre Cirrincione, who shot a 115. Clark Fork finished sixth out of six teams, but were not too far behind Mullan.

On the girls side, it was Payvin Coleman and Brooklyn Best of Priest River who shot 115 and 121, respectively. They were the only two girls to represent Bonner County at the invitational on Monday.

Priest River and Clark Fork are set to compete at the 1A/2A District golf tournament scheduled for next Monday, May 8 at the Links Golf Club in Post Falls.
