SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Parks and Recreation is offering a youth basketball league for any and all area kids in grades 3-8, starting on Feb. 10 and running through March 17.

The focus is on fun and fundamentals for both girls and boys teams. Practices are held once per week at area schools, with games played on Saturdays at Sandpoint Middle School. A Sandpoint youth sport jersey is required, and they can be purchased for $14.

The registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 8. The fees are: 1 player, $38 county/$33 within city limits, with discounts for more than one player in the family.

Scholarships are available ($50 maximum awarded per child per booklet) upon request.
