SHS golf kicks off season at Palouse Ridge Invitational

Led by Hattie Larson and Joel Johnson, Sandpoint girls golf placed sixth and the boys placed 15th at the Palouse Ridge Invitational, held in Pullman, Wash. on Wednesday.

The invite, which featured 14 girls teams and 19 boys teams, was the Bulldogs’ first taste of action in the 2019 season.

Spokane schools Gonzaga Prep placed first for the boys, while Lewis and Clark placed first for the girls.

Fellow IEL school Moscow placed 10th on the boys’ side and didn’t field enough players on the girls’ side.

Sandpoint’s next invitational will be the Lake City Invitational, held at the Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Course on Monday, April 15 at 9 a.m.
