Sandpoint Sasquatch Baseball wins Cinco de Mayo Tournament

(Photo courtesy of JOHN AEXEL) The U11 Sandpoint Sasquatch baseball team won the Cinco De Mayo Tournament in Hayden, Idaho on May 11. The team went 5-0 in the tournament with wins over the Coeur d’Alene Blaze, Missoula Hotshots, Frenchtown Sluggers and the Hayden Norsemen in the round-robin portion of the tournament. Then they topped off the weekend with a 17-9 victory over the CDA Blaze in the championship game. “It was a great weekend of baseball with all of the hard work the boys have put in over the past few years coming together with strong pitching, lights-out defense and a solid offense,” Sasquatch manager Dustin Reichart said.
