AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PONDERAY, BONNER COUNTY, IDAHO, AMENDING PONDERAY MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 9-404 TO PROVIDE FOR A MINIMUM CONSTRUCTION STANDARD FOR AN EXCEPTION TO THE ROOF

LIVE LOAD (SNOW LOAD) LIMIT ESTABLISHED THEREIN; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.

WHEREAS: the Department of Housing and Urban Development has set standards for the minimum construction standards for roof live load (snow load) for Manufactured Homes.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PONDERAY, BONNER COUNTY, IDAHO:

Section 1:00:

Ponderay Municipal Code Section 9-404 is hereby amended as follows:

Roof Live Load Limits. No Manufactured Home set or placed -in the City limits of Ponderay shall be constructed for less that thirty (30) fifty-five (55) pounds per square foot of roof live load (snow load); PROVIDED, a Manufactured Home which

is constructed for at least thirty (30), but less than fifty-five (55) pounds per square foot of roof live load (snow load) must have a protective roof which meets or exceeds fifty-five (55) pounds per square foot of roof live load (snow load) requirements; HOWEVER a Manufactured Home manufactured prior to January 1,2003, which does not meet the roof live load (snow load) requirements hereunder, but which met the City's roof live load requirements, if any, at the time of manufacture, may be set or placed only in a Manufactured Home park which has reasonable rules regulating removal of snow from roofs.

Section 2:00:

This Ordinance shall be published in the Bonner County Daily Bee, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Sandpoint and the official newspaper of the City of Ponderay, and hereby declared to be the official newspaper for the publication of this Ordinance.
