Big spender officials are taking everything away

| November 8, 2006 8:00 PM

Military duty over I got a good job, made 1.5 monthly mortgage payments for two years. Found a rich (no dicker) purchaser and sold house for $2,000 clear profit. I found the same model home on five acres 16 miles further south; took all savings and profit to buy, with about the same mortgage payments as before.

I worked for 10 years with a 56-mile commute each way and saved until eligible for company retirement. I found a California buyer with cash and a 10 days to move clause.

I sold everything for good profit, moved to Idaho, put everything into a house with land. I smashed up my back, sold everything with total accumulated funds, purchased a house in town, with little commute to church and hospital.

With the help of our friendly elected officials, my home on paper has increased in value 100 percent in less than three years. My calculations indicate I will be paying an annual tax of $4,800, which equals my mortgage payment of my first home.

These big spender elected officials have come up with a way of depriving me of everything I have worked for over 60 years, and they did it in less than three years. Their answer is vote for me and you won't lose your home right away, sell now while prices are high and move someplace else or stay here and trust your elected county officials.
