| June 17, 2008 9:00 PM

SANDPOINT — Litehouse, Inc. is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Jim Frank to president of the company.

Frank joined Litehouse in 2006 as director of sales and recently held the position of vice resident of sales and marketing.

Frank came to Litehouse with more than 27 years of experience with Albertsons, starting as a grocery clerk during high school.

He was produce sales manager in the Northwest, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, Boise and lastly as Director of fresh merchandising for Albertsons.

Frank’s appointment reflects the first time in the company’s 50 year history that someone outside the Hawkins family has held the position of president.

In 2006, Litehouse became an employee owned company when the owners Doug and Edward Hawkins and Wendell Christoff made the family business available to purchase by the employees.

“I am very pleased Jim has accepted this position,” said Edward Hawkins Jr., CEO.

“As my brother Doug and I transition out of the day to day running of the company, it was important to find someone who shared our values, our commitment to our employees, and had the passion to provide the highest quality products and service to the produce industry.

“With Jim’s wealth of industry knowledge and great experience he is very qualified for the position.  I am looking forward to working with him and for his immediate impact and support for our strategic initiatives and future growth.”
