Cyclists must follow the rules of the road

| August 28, 2010 9:00 PM

I am increasingly frustrated and concerned about the unsafe bicycle riders in the area.

Recently, I saw two riders run through the intersection of Boyer and Cedar, not stopping at all, even though it is a four-way stop. One of them even turned from northbound on Boyer, from the bike lane, to eastbound on Cedar. The bicyclist did not slow down at all, just assumed that all the cars at the intersection would stay where they were.

Too many people on bikes forget that they are also held to the rules of the road as an automobile would be.
