Why didn't driver stop and do the right thing?

| March 13, 2010 8:00 PM

What has happened to common decency and small-town values?

Our cat was run over and killed recently between 1-2 p.m. on Wooded Acres Drive.

Whoever was responsible did not have the decency — or courage — to come ring our doorbell and let us know about the accident. Our cat was struck in front of our driveway, so it would not have taken more than a few minutes to let us know what happened. The shock of learning from the driver of the vehicle that our cat had been hit and killed would have been easier to bear than to find our pet dead in the road.
