Bulldogs end season at state with 2-1 loss to Kuna

CALDWELL — Senior Madi Schoening capped a strong four-year varsity run by scoring a goal off an assist from fellow senior Sterling Healy, but it wasn’t enough as the Bulldogs saw their season come to an end with a 2-1 loss to Kuna on Friday in the consolation bracket of the 4A state soccer tournament at Brothers Park. 

The Bulldogs (7-7-3) appeared headed for another overtime game, after falling to Century in penalty kicks on Thursday.

With the game tied late at 1-1, the Kavemen (13-8-1) scored the game winner to advance to the consolation final.

Paige Dumars posted six saves in goal.
