SANDPOINT — Any and all area girls in grades 4-8 (in the fall of 2016) who are interested in the sport of basketball are encouraged to attend the annual Sandpoint Lady Bulldogs Basketball Camp on June 15-17 at SHS.

The three-day skills camp is run by the SHS players and coaches, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. each day of the camp. All participants will get not only a new camp t-shirt, but a new basketball as well.

Bulldog head coach Duane Ward, whose team finished third last season at state, said the camp offers something for everyone, whether challenging experienced players or teaching new ones.

“We run a lot of drills, teach the fundamentals and play a lot of game,” he said. “Expose them to the game and give them a taste of it. If they like it, hopefully they keep playing.”

The cost of the camp is $40, which goes to support the program. Players can sign up before the start of the first day on June 15.
