7B Women host talk on branding

| September 2, 2016 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT —The 7B Women committee would like to invite community members to attend their September luncheon, which will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6.

The program will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Community Room of the Columbia Bank building, 414 Church St. The theme of this month’s luncheon is “Believable Branding: Telling a Story Your Customers Will Buy Into,” hosted by Alison Kellogg and Camille Balfanz of Litehouse Foods.

Ever wonder what your customers think about you? Developing a brand that is credible and engaging is harder than it sounds. At this month’s luncheon, Alison Kellogg and Camille Balfanz, explore the challenge of branding in an evolving consumer landscape.

Alison Kellogg and Camille Balfanz are brand managers at Litehouse Foods where they are responsible for a portfolio of dressing lines, work to bring new products to market, and develop various national branding strategies.

“Whether you’re branding your own business or working to grow an existing brand—cohesive and consistent marketing is a must.” Said 7B Women marketing co-chair, Jenn Markwardt, Business Operations Manager, Sandpoint Title Insurance. “We’re thrilled to host two experts in their field who have championed large scale marketing efforts and will bring a depth of knowledge and insight to an ever-evolving and exciting topic.”

“One of our main goals as a committee is to provide value and education during our monthly luncheons,” Markwardt explains. “This year we’ve focused heavily on marketing yourself through body language and perfecting your personal elevator speech. This month’s luncheon will expand on that theme and lead in to a series of more specific marketing and branding topics in the year to come.”

Also available at this month’s luncheon is the opportunity to have your headshot taken. Local photographers Angela Dail of Little Orange House Photography and Lisa Turner of and Lisa Turner Photography will begin taking photos in the atrium at 11:30 a.m. The photographers will be waiving the sitting fee and attendees will be able to purchase a digital copy online for $10.

The luncheon is open to everyone in the community, both men and women. The cost is $20 or $15 for chamber members. Pre-registration is highly encouraged. The luncheon takes place at Tango Café in the Columbia Bank Building from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If people would like an opportunity to promote their business at the luncheon, they are asked to bring an item to raffle and will be given a “minute with the mic” at the conclusion of the luncheon.
