—Photo by PATTY AUNAN Local Patty Aunan snapped this photo recently of a Canadian Lynx outsider of her home in the Selle Valley. Primarily an inhabitant of forests, the Canada Lynx live across much of Canada and Alaska, and into northern U.S. border states, extending south into the Rocky Mountains through Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Colorado. They can be as tall as 23 inches, and weigh as much as 40 pounds.
