July 31

A possible unlawful entry was reported in the 1700 block of Pine Street at 8:50 a.m.

Report of a 911 pocket dial on Fifth Avenue at 9:41 a.m.

David P. Gilligan, 46, no permanent address, was arrested in the 300 block of Cedar Street at 10:21 a.m. on a charge of being an intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway.

A window was reported broken out of a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Church Street at 10:56 a.m.

Officers escorted a long load through town in the area of Fifth and Cedar at 10:34 a.m.

An officer contacted the owner of a vehicle in the area of E. Lake Street and S. First Avenue with a dog locked inside at 1:02 a.m.

Possible fraud was reported in the 1500 block of Highway 2 at 1:17 p.m.

Possible harassment was reported at the police department after a reported reckless driver call at Fifth and Cedar at 2:27 p.m.

An officer checked on a large box sitting near the intersection of Fifth and Larch at 2:36 p.m.; nothing suspicious was found.

An officer checked a residence in the 900 block of Spruce Street for a possibly suicidal female at 1:35 p.m.; she did not live there anymore.

An officer attempted to locate a Kootenai County runaway in Gunnings Alley at 3:28 p.m. and advised the person wasn’t the individual sought.

An officer checked on two juveniles in a vehicle in the 600 block of Larch Street at 5:36 p.m.; they were fine.

Juveniles who had been jumping off the statue at City Beach were gone when the officer arrived at 5:49 p.m.

An officer advised that reports of juveniles drinking alcohol by Gunnings Alley on First Avenue at 5:52 p.m. were unfounded.

A resident in the 600 block of Jefferson was asked to keep the volume on her car radio down at 6:21 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a marijuana smell in the area of the 800 block of Pine Street at 7:43 p.m.

Report of an IRS scam in the 1100 block of Main Street at 8:11 p.m.

Officers were unable to locate a group of people who appeared to be getting ready to fight in the 1100 block of Poplar Street at 1:09 a.m.

An officer was unable to locate three suspicious males reported in the area of Forsythia Avenue and Sequoia Street at 1:56 a.m.

An adult female was transported to the crisis center by the county at 2:13 a.m.

A 36-year-old Sandpoint male was taken on a detox hold in the 1200 block of Larch Street at 2:25 a.m.

Officers assisted fire personnel in the 700 block of N. Florence Avenue at 3:15 a.m.
