Teen coding workshop set

In collaboration with Devtree Academy and the East Bonner County Library, the Sandpoint Youth Center is hosting a free 1.5-hour workshop to introduce area high school students to software coding.

The workshop is for ninth-12th graders from any high school (including homeschoolers) in Bonner County.

The workshop will consist of 45 minutes demonstration/introduction to basic coding, followed by 45 minutes of hands-on practice.

A limited number of laptops will be available; participants are encouraged to bring one to use for the class.

The workshop will be held Thursday, Sept. 7, 3:30-5 p.m. at the Sandpoint Youth Center on Pine and Division. The workshop follows the youth center’s back to school barbecue, planned for 2:30 p.m.
