Men's and women's volleyball leagues on tap

SANDPOINT — Another fun and exciting season of City Rec volleyball is on tap for players of all levels, with both men’s and women’s leagues forming now.

Sandpoint Parks and Rec will be offering a men’s volleyball league on Wednsdays, from Oct. 4 through Dec. 13, with all games played at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.

There will also be a women’s volleyball league starting on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 2 and 3, and running through Dec. 11 and 12. The format is A-1 and A-2 will play on Mondays, with the A-3 and A-4 action slated for Tuesdays.

Online registration for both leagues is now open at www.sandpointidhao.gov/parksrecreation. All team captains must submit their completed roster and $20, which is applied to players fees, to hold their spot in the league. The deadline to register is Sept 8, so act now to guarantee your spot in the 24 league.

All sponsor and players’ fees are due at the mandatory captains’ meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The sponsor fee is $225 and the players’ fee is $250, for a total of $475 per team.
